Khmelnytskyi, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine
:UA: Krasnodon. (Краснодон) is a city in Luhansk Oblast (region) of eastern Ukraine. It is incorporated as a city of oblast significance and serves as the administrative centre of Krasnodon Raion (district), though it does not belong to the raion.
In 2016 the city was renamed Sorokyne (Сорокине) as part of decommunization in Ukraine. The city's name change process has been temporarily suspended as it is not controlled by the government of Ukraine.
Khmelnytskyi has a population of over 42,582 people. Khmelnytskyi also forms the centre of the wider Luhansk Oblast which has a population of over 2,121,322 people. For the location of Khmelnytskyi see: Krasnodon.
