:JP: Ōbu is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Ōbu has been a member of the World Health Organization’s Alliance for Healthy Cities since 2000. Ōbu is located in the far north-eastern neck of Chita Peninsula in southern Aichi Prefecture, and is bordered by the metropolis of Nagoya to the north.
Economy Commerce: Ōbu has a mixed economic base due to its proximity to the Nagoya metropolis and numerous transportation connections.
Ōbu has a population of over 92,179 people. Ōbu also forms one of the centres of the wider Nagoya City which has a population of over 2,331,078 people. It is also a part of the larger Greater Nagoya area.
